Building brand recognition for a growing plant-based brand.

Ark Foods was built around a single vegetable (the Shishito pepper) and a big mission: to build a modern-day farming company focused on making fresh food accessible to all. Today, they grow vegetables up and down the East Coast and craft signature Clean Label Eats in crave-worthy, plant-based flavors.

I was brought onto Ark Foods to help their team build brand recognition around their product as the brand began to grow and retailers like Whole Foods began to show interest.

The brand has a simple and clean design with a dash of whimsy peppered in through playful stickers and diecuts. I was responsible for upholding a cohesive look and feel across a variety of product offerings like salad kits, Costco packaging and displays.

Another big need was collateral, pamphlets, postcards, coupons and stickers. As a growing brand the team attended a lot of trade shows and I was tasked with helping them translate and bring their brand to life in an environmental space. I designed and helped source the backdrop, product displays, booth and easels. As a company focused on farming and clean label food I felt was important that the materials we sourced reflected their brand position - and was strategic when selecting natural wood, canvas, cotton or recycled paper.
